Every sunset is beautiful.
Across the deserts and the plains,
along the treetops and sinking to the ocean.
From one end of the world to the other,
I can sit here and know someone else sees it too.
The shadow’s cast is a blanket until the streetlights hum to life,
and the grapefruit skies fade to birth twinkling stars.
Blue is a heavy color when it carries heaven’s weight.
I’ll see you tomorrow.
I’ll kiss you goodnight.
The sun will always set,
and it will always be beautiful.
